If the Grizzlies would have signed him to the vet minimum, Biyombo would ha ve earned $920K from now until late December (when the Morant suspension is li fted). It is close to the same guarantee on the current contract. 2. Biyombo has a $5M cap instead of $1.9M. 3. Memphis has a $5M trade asset if Biyombo is on the roster after the Morant suspension is lifted. Memphis would need to clear a spot.
